You can buy a pair of clips which hold the lamp in the reflector, then the original connector/clip is just used as a connector, remotely from the clip.

I will tape the bulbs and try them tonight… if they work fine I will order these bulbs holders.

Those won't last. They've no cooling fan to take the heat away, so life will be limited.

He never came back to say how he got on. However in my experience, no current LED bulb makes a worthwhile replacement for a good quality halogen bulb, when the reflector designed for halogen. LEDs in halogen reflectors are now an MOT fail too. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate on order. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. |
