FL2 2.2D Intercooler hose dimensions?

Afternoon all,
The money light is now lit on the dash, accompanied by a whooshy/windy noise from under the bonnet. I've found a split in the top section of the intercooler hose (i.e. the short hose directly beneath the throttle body) I've had a quick hunt around the forum, but it would seem this section of hose isn't available on its own from what I can gather.... Sad

Does anyone happen to know what the internal diameter of this hose is? Also important, is it the same diameter at each end?

The reason I ask is that I've found a company which sells short lengths of silicone hose with a 15 degree bend which looks like it might do the trick for less than £20 delivered...! Yes, I could remove the hose to measure up, but the car is currently still driveable (not ideal, I know) and I think if I remove the hose as it stands, it'll completely perish if I try to reattach it, leaving the car immobile.

Any help would be appreciated - Cheers! Smile

But it's so easy to wrap around (at least the lower tube) a small piece of rope, measure its length and then calculate the diameter.... Elementary circle geometry...

That's very good thinking, Alex! I like your style! Smile

However, that will only give me external diameter... Sad

I suppose I could allow a few mm for the thickness of the tube wall? Hmmmm....

But I think the upper part of the middle section (below the lower hose clamp of the upper section) should be accessible enough for your suggestion to work, perhaps.

This is exactly what I've said... Around the lower plastic tube. Sorry for my English... Not a native speaker.
But from what I've know, it has the interior diameter about 55-57 mm. The same size at both ends.

i currently have the same symptoms on my trusty freelander, the pipe appears to be 2.5 inches in old money!! i am awaiting delivery of just the short section of pipe tomorrow, i looked into getting a similar pipe etc but then thought its better to get the correct pipe as a few degrees difference "might" put extra pressure somewhere along the pipe or the connections causing issues "down the road" in the future.......does yours have a slight hesitation/judder around 1-2k revs??? as this sympton happened around the same time so im hoping the fault is connected to this pipe issue
