Just got quoted £370 to have them supplied and fitted by main dealer. Does this sound about right?

Fitting them yourself is a fairly straight forward job.

Cheers RT, that's exactly what I'm after (with some cross bars!). Unfortunately he wants them picked up from Yorkshire!

If it helps I still have the LR box and packaging that my rails came in, if you win the auction I could post them to the seller.

I've had a set of Thule ones on both my Freelanders and carried a roof box to Switzerland and back and also a ski rack to Switzerland and back and have had no issues with them. Just about to use them again going to Austria. Much cheaper than OEM and when removed leave no trace they've ever been fitted. |

Guys, thanks again for your help with this! I didn't win the auction, but am encouraged that they came up on eBay. Looks like the setup will come in under half of the new price. I'll keep hanging around for another set... |

I would be prepared to use ebay copies such as side steps and door handle covers. As for load carrying or structural parts...............£145 for ebay copies or £252 from a dealer. Loads and risk. Injury and damage. Insurance declaration. Mmmm, not sure. A Land Rover owner since 1988

That's a good price certainly cheaper than I could get locally. My problem was I needed them quickly so was looking locally. The e bay ones were close enough to go look at and collect. |
