Did anyone solve the wiring in the doors for the puddle lamps?

I have retrofitted the puddle lamps. But I had to buy the looms and lights from a breaker. The swap was pretty easy. You need to activate them in the CCF as well. If you are handy with a soldering iron you could just connect the necessary wires from the door control module to the light.

Our 2010 GS model had footwell lamps working but the 2011 GS facelift one just had the bulb holders - added the bulbs and now all working. Very strange 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I do not wish to appear thick but what is the CCF?

Cheers MikeBob,

Just got the footwell lights working in my 2012 my GS. Holders were there, 10 minutes and £2.00 for bulbs. Thanks everyone! Just need time to take door panels off to see if the puddle light wiring is there.

Reviving this thread...
Does anybody have the MY13 XS and can confirm whether the footwell lamp holders are in place or not, additionally, if i replaced the motorised wing mirrors with the motorised wing mirrors with lamp holders fitted, is the wiring loom in place to make that work already??

Hi,

I have a MY 13 XS and it has the footwell lamps as standard including the bulbs. Suggest you check to see if fuse or bulbs blown.

It all goes to show how mean JLR is and daft us loyal customers are (for accepting being ripped off)
JLR cant be arsed to insert bulbs into sockets in a car costing over £30K . The sockets are of very poor quality too and crudely stapled to an air vent - nothing for JLR to be proud of thats for sure.

In comparison our £10K near bottom of range Fiesta has footwell lamps. Jules

Hi, what's the easiest way to get the footwell lights working on a 2007 model that has no bulbs or wires in place?

A few years ago my wife bought a Ford Fiesta "L" model. I noticed that only one door speaker was working so had a route about and found a disconnected plug and connector under the dashboard. I plugged them together and lo and behold the other door speaker started working. I stopped for fuel at the dealers the next day and went in and mentioned it, their response was that they knew about that and you have to get the "GL" model for it to come with the plug already connected! How cheapskate is that when the wiring and speaker is already fitted! 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I would be very surprised if they aren't there on a 14 GS, they are difficult spot though unless you are a contortionist. Have you tried a mirror? I used my phone and took some pictures under the dash to find mine. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
