How do you adjust headlamps for continent?

How do you adapt the halogen headlamps for driving on the right? My handbook says there's an adjustment lever on the lights, but this seems to be just for xenon lights? I've never had this type of light before. Do the usual masking kits work?

Edit - Oops sorry. Just found the answer on http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic5922.html

Get rid of the "." at the end of the address link, when in Internet Explorer.

Nope, it doesn't work, but I don't know why - I copied it off the forum. It should link through to https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/user...asking.pdf - try that.
Not much use though unless you have some decent masking tape that isn't going to damage your headlights. I eventually got some expensive deflectors, and the fitting instructions refer to the centre of the headlight - on mine this is marked by a tiny engraved circle. All I really want is the old-style silver-backed black masking, which I could cut to size. anyone know where to source it?

OK, I can't make that link work either. Just go to Technical, second page, an entry 10 June: HEADLIGHT DEFLECTORS HOW TO FIT. The links work from there!

Overlap a few lines of black electrical insulating tape onto a piece of plastic, cut the 8cm x 5cm @ 2 x 20 degrees with a stanley knife (Other knife manufacturers are available Shocked ), peel off the plastic and stick to each headlight. Works a treat I promise Thumbs Up

Thank you Mr Strutt. Bow down Bow down I'm already fixed for this trip but will need to do this again soon and will take yr advice and order the roll of vinyl. Then I can just cut out a set every time I need one.

Thanks also np for making the advice a "sticky" - There seems to be very little info out there on this one, considering that we, as LR drivers, will tend to go to weird places more than most people. (My personal best are Turkey in one of the original (S Reg) Freelanders and the Danube Delta in my last Disco 2).

OK, so yesterday I carefully applied the expensive masks wot I bought, following the instructions, to a warm dry headlamp. This afternoon, I noticed one had fallen off. And when I checked the other one it came off in my hand. Glue completely gone.
So I've followed Mc Strutt's advice with the electrical tape and the shape from the link in the sticky, and it all seems fine.
Thanks to the forum for an excellent fix Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
