I think James will be more concerned about his watch as its a Rolex

Got to disagree with the watch choice, Rolex are nice, but it has to be a mid sized Omega Seamaster for day time use and a De Ville for the evening. Thats a theory, poor person alert.

Don't buy a Seamaster, I did an automatic and it will not
keep time.

Twodogs, send it back as mine has been perfect for 8 years. I do make sure I wind it up before putting it on if I've not worn it for a couple of days as the self-winding doesn't appear to be enough on it's own from rest.

don't wind an automatic watch unless it's stopped all auto's are something like +/- 4 to 10 seconds out over time. my omega planet ocean used to lose upto 8 seconds a day for the first 3-4 months now it's settled down to be +2 to 4 seconds a week, you can have it regulated by a omega agent (not bond)...

rolex watches are great quality but no more acurate than most high end auto movements.

COSC autos have a variation between -4 to +6 seconds per day. Some manufacturers are more successful than others in achieving greater consistent accuracy but that's all they have to meet. Phil

Yes, to be officially certified Crono, it's got to be within a certain latitude, but from memory, that can be quite a few seconds per day. In my virtual world, being a poor person, I have to revert to that, my Seamaster is only out by 4 seconds a year. Thats accurate and like most people who admire good watches, it has to be accurate to the second!

You wouldn't have that problem with Omega, in theory, they feel like they have been on your wrist years. I didn't know the Rolex braclet was so rough! The sot of thinng that ladders stockings, you'd be popular, oh wait until I untangle my Rolex! Wouldn't be cool.

I went to look at a Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic the other weekend for a £1600 watch it felt cheap and tacky, the bracket on my £400 Seiko was better the jeweler actually said it wasn't made to be worn everyday

my wifes Tags braclet is better, and her Omega is better made too
