Full-size Spare

Our 2008 LR2 has a temporary spare tire in the wheel well.
Will a full-size spare fit? Our Range Rover has a full-size spare as standard equipment and I have found that useful in the past.

Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Zermatt Silver

Hi Vindner. In Australia the LR2 (Freelander2 in Australia) has a full size spare. I was considering various vehicles including a BMW X3, VW Tiguan, neither with a full size spare which is essential in the land down under hence why I chose the Freelander2.

Why shouldn't? All wheels (235/65/17 - 235/60/18 and 235/55/19) are the same diameter. Whistle 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

I think the S always came with foam inflation muck, which proves it to be just a penny pinching exercise, forcing most people who will inevitably spec a full size spare and therefore spend EXTRA for what shouldn't be an EXTRA Evil or Very Mad
I thought TATA owned LandRover not Ryan Air Laughing

I doubt it is only LR doing this at all. I know that MG-Rover did the same thing around 2004 as well. These things get noticed & generally come back & bite you! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Auto Lago Grey

When we picked up our new Freelander a couple of weeks ago the dealer had added a full size spare to the Invoice, I hadnt asked for it but as I think it should be standard and is required I didnt mind.
I assume the dealer also thinks its a stupid idea.
Reminds me, I havent actually looked to see if its there yet!

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Saw a Land Rover the other day with a full sized spare wheel on the boot and another on the bonnet. Thought that was a great idea and just think of all the extra space inside where you need it Thumbs Up Of course a big fixture welded to the bonnet of a Freely wouldnt suit some folks Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Idea Why don't folks just bolt another couple (one) to each front door, and come to think of it - one on each rear flank above the wheel arch. Most never look through those windows and they don't need the embedded aerials to listen to the Archers on an expedition. If you place the alloy correctly on the right side you'd be able to put the fuel pump through a gap in the spokes to fill up.

Now they can all adventure off road right across the Mongolian steppes without probably ever needing to repair a puncture until they got safely home in the cosy Cotswolds Mr. Green
