Probably just the fuse - I think it has its own, separate to the rear socket?

30,000 miles, no serious issues. One fuse (rear passenger power socket) and had the dealer grease the gear change cable; touched the underside once off road.

Fun to drive (after 3 Discos), economical, capable enough on and off road and amazing on snow-packed roads recently too. Yes I'd have another (or an LRX, maybe?). Typical LR, the the benfits outweigh the foibles Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red
Gone... 2008 (09MY) XS Td4 Manual Stornaway Grey
Prior... 2003 G4 Discovery 2, 1998 Disco 1 and 1997 Disco 1 Company car before that
Also gone in Nov'13, after 7.5 yrs, to new owners with time for more TLC - 1980 Series III 88
Current 2015 Discovery Sport HSE 2.0

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Nazca Sand

Only issue is the seat dropping which i'll get resolved at next service....i'd buy another one tomorrow, in fact if I could afford it i'd px my GS for a leather clad version Smile as the dogs hairs are a pain to get out of the material. I drive approx 25-30,000 miles a year so it's used for business, I have 3 dogs....they love the room it affords them, I go shooting and I can fit all my gear/dog if required in there no problem and I like the way it drives/how comfy it is. I've had quite a few cars but this is my favourite/most practical for my needs Thumbs Up My last two cars were 3 litre diesels so went very well but were licence losers, the Freelander is not a fast car but overall it's just about right for me.

I had similar on the front power socket which stopped working. Managed to change the fuse myself... it is the fuse box under the bonet and if you turn the lid upside down when you take it off there are some spare fuses there ... or do what I did, buy some fuses and then find out! Embarassed The manual will tell you wich fuse is which.

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Happy with mine.
If you ever owned a FL1 you would see just how far this car has come (and I liked that car a lot too)

Happy to buy another but would I keep this one without a warranty? - I'm not sure - we will have to see in another 15 months! Thumbs Up There's always a way forward!
