England 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Fuji White

After 2000 miles I have to say I’m slightly disappointed but on reading the figures above I will consider myself to be lucky. Urban 31mpg and extra urban between 40 and 46mpg depending on whether I can control my right foot. I’ve filled up 4 times now and each time just below 450 miles on a tank full. When calculated its returning 34 mpg overall so I’m happy with that. My D3 was returning 24mpg on the same commutes. A Land Rover owner since 1988

From a 1974 series III to a 12MY XS FL2 with help of a 1995 D1, 1996 D1, 2005 D3, 2007 D3 and a 2009 FL2.

Sorry guys, but what happened with the following topic?

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic4263.html

Are really necessary two topics on the same issue?

Then maybe will be better with 3 threads. Thumbs Up
A new one with only HIGHWAY MPG... : Rolling with laughter

Or maybe four, one with ONLY OFF-ROAD MPG... Laughing Laughing Laughing

And to be on topic, my MPGs, on an Auto TD4 FL2:
Urban: 23-28 MPG
Highway: 31-35 MPG
Off-Road: 14-18 MPG

Ah... almost forget...
Average: 25 MPG Laughing Laughing

Or should I spread the figures among the topics?... Rolling with laughter

That's actually a good idea

that way people can look at all 3 and get a comparison on there type of driving

a average MPG is not that useful if the report is done by a motorway cruiser compared to a urban crawler

like Avturs 40+mpg means nothing to me as I don't live on the motorway etc
but the the only way of reporting said MPG us via the trip computer unlike the more precise fill up to fill up manual calculation Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
