2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver
We buy any car !!!

I was watching TV last night when an ad came on for www.webuyanycar.com, so i had a look....

The site invited me to input my vehicles reg number and I would receive an offer from them
for my Freelander... So what is it worth.....

It a 09 GS TD4 manual with 4600 miles on the clock and purchased in early may and I paid
£19,000 for it.

So what was the offer..............

£18,720

If I sold it now that would be cheap motoring for the last 5 months, could I have hired a FL2
for that time for £280 ?

Have a look and put your reg number in....it's made me feel good.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Baltic Blue

I used to have a FL2 on lease. £354/month. Sadly all good things come to an end, and it had to go back after 2 years.

Either you got it really cheap, or there's something wrong with their pricing system.

It would seem that the press reports may be right, used car values are going up !!!!

I.ve up in the wife's car details and a mates and from what I can see it seem correct.
I must have got a good deal on my FL2... I am a Yorkshireman after all !!!

Shaun.

Used car prices on the up

Interested to see what "WE buy any car" have offered forum members. At present due to the supply situation, used car prices are on the up. Call in to see the dealer last week that I bought my HST from from back in March this year. He said that he had recently sold two HSTs one an 08 plate the other the same age as mine. Both made well over what I paid for a new one. The 09 plated one going for nearly £3000 more. Must admit I did get a cracking deal at the time getting just over £7000 off list. Best deals at the moment appear to be offering about £3000 off list.
It appears from what was said that I could run my HST for some time and still get what I paid for it.
Interestly because the HSE has been deleted from the models list (with SE model) that secondhand book prices are some £700 better for HST over same age HSE variant. Dealer stated that providing LR do not bring out similar model to HST then secondhand prices should stay strong due to relative rarity and healthy demand.

Nice to get some good news Smile

Vauxhall have a good link on their website to Glass' guide, so for interest I "borrowed" snairda's car (hope you didn't miss it, assumed it was a 07 manual) and came up with this:

Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £14150
Average condition: £12600
Below average condition: £10900

Not a bad result for wbac.com...

That's your initial offer, but when you actually want to sell it and they inspect it, they'll knock down the price for something. Phil

"they'll knock down the price for something...." more realistic!

Then again who would buy a Freelander priced by "GM Europe-soon-to-be-GM-Canada/Russia-selling-in-Europe-but-not-USA" Laughing

I once sold a Mini to a bmw garage over the phone, I confessed to a shopping dint on the dor and a kerbed wheel he knocked £50 off for each. Then he turned up with a bankers draft and didnt even inspect the car.
This was when the mini was still rare and he paid top money for it.
I didnt even get chance to mention that the private plate on it was being swapped to another car, And he sold it on with our plate on it. I know this because it was in an RTA within a week and the police phoned me Rolling Eyes . The number remains mine At work
