Hello,
I am new to the forums but it's nice to see that there is such a large community for the LR2. I have been the owner of a 2008 LR2 for almost 10 years now (160k). It's been an amazing car for me and my family. However, recently the car had to sit for about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I went to start it and it had trouble starting but eventually it did and drove like normal. The next morning I was unable to start the car and the battery/check engine light came on. I tested the battery and it was completely dead. Keep in mind the battery was only a year old at the time. So I went and got a new battery under warranty and replaced it. Now the car try's to start however it won't kick over. I plugged in my LR V3.0 diagnostic tool and I am getting a fault in the transmission. Code P0709-00. So far I have tried clearing the code and replacing the fuse (F2) in the engine bay. The car will still not start. Any ideas on where I should check next?
The description of the code is "transmission range sensor A - circuit intermittent".
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did you do to resolve it? Thank you in advance for reading this and replying.
