Just had the chip repaired by Superglass. Excellent service and quite local for me.
Came to the house. Cost was £40,very reasonable.
It’s a franchise but I have no problem with the chap who fixed my car.

Please excuse reflections but you can see the chips and finished job.
Need to enlarge photo to see chips, one with the clouds. Jim A

Ukraine 2013 Freelander 2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White

I have Fuyao windows in my car, no issues.

There was a car having its windscreen replaced in our street with one of those mobile services. I had a chat with the installer. I said that the replacement windscreen look pretty wavy, as I knew the car from long term parking.

He said that even if you pay the windscreen levy they installed a third rate replacement, so if you want the proper product you need to specify the actual windscreen & also pay the difference.

The cheap windscreen being replaced was quite frankly a joke at best. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I've only ever seen Land Rover marked Pilkington screens fitted to my LRs and I've had about 20 over the years.

All the other windows on my 2009MY TD4 SE are marked with the Land Rover marking, it's only the windscreen which is Fuyao.
Also the date code is showing as September 2005, which is 3 years earlier than the car was manufactured. Yet the LR marked screen on my 2006MY i6 was manufactured in August 2006, which would be about right for the age of the vehicle.

I'm thinking my SE was fitted with a screen which sat in a warehouse for some time before it was fitted to my car, either as a replacement, or maybe on the production line?
Unfortunately with a date code older than the vehicle, it's impossible to tell when the screen was actually fitted. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate on order.
Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE.
