Found this in the drivers footwell. Can’t see where it’s come from. Any known areas this may have come from?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver

I know it's not what you want to hear but it could be from anywhere under the dashboard. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Maybe from here, but the 2 screws here are a silver colour. Or it may be the screw which holds the trim panel on near the front edge (have forgotten what it looks like at the moment), there is a screw on the passenger side trim panel. Have a look at that to see if is the same.

The other option is it's left over from build, one of those screws that fell out of specialised holder when fitting those can't get at screws in the factory, interesting both cars are 2014. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

A 'pocket bolt' as my dad describes left over fasteners after taking something apart and putting most of it back together. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

That's the one. Just had a look at mine, actually it was a bit loose, 7mm socket. Maybe I overtightened mine removing these panels a few times.

Check passenger side while at it. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
