I did ask about that. They did assure me that they’d killed the ignition before the wiper had completed its sweep. Is that technically possible?

yes - its how to park your wipers to hold a frost protection sheet against the windscreen - been doing that for decades before the FL2 came with a heated screen. Jules

Ref rear wiper motor. I had similar. Took the motor off cleaned out all the old crap and refilled with silicone grease. Has been perfect for last 18 months.
Worth a try.

“Freida” came back to Cornwall last Friday and (apart from a worn pair of rear shocks), my specialist couldn’t immediately find any horrors 👍
Booked to full service, diff / Haldex and gearbox oil change on Friday.

5 weeks and 3,500 miles later, I’ve had to have a few bits sorted - including a new exhaust manifold which, to his credit, the supplying dealer paid for immediately, despite being 20% of the price that I paid for the car!
I’ve been working through general maintenance issues, including new Brembo brakes throughout and a gearbox oil change and any other serviceable items I can think of 👍
Am I enjoying it?
Too right I am! After the Range Rover (which I still have), it’s a blast to drive.
