What failed with the hose?

No it was Britpart rubber version. The 2nd one I bought from a Landrover dealer in Dublin but it wasn't in JLR packaging, was told it was aftermarket but no idea who made it. I had no other option at the time as i was away from home with the caravan. Plan to change them all for silicon versions just to prevent a similar inconvenient failure / breakdown. Looking at preventing rather then cure, how much would a mechanic roughly charge to change to silicone hoses ? Thanks |

It works out cheaper to purchase all the hoses in one go, then getting one at a time. Replaced mine years ago. As has already been said, only available in blue. Who cares about the colour if it works. If you don't like the colour just shut the bonnet. Sorted |

It not difficult to do but a bit time consuming taking the front bumper off to get at the clips. Couple of hours labour, + cost of hoses? If you lived near me I'd happily do it f.o.c. I've had the bumper off so often I could do it in my sleep. Hi thanks, just didn’t fancy getting stuck when out with the caravan if we could prevent something happening. Probably worrying unnecessary. Only did 7,000 miles between mot,s so not a big mileage person. |

Probably, I'd not be overly concerned about the lower boost hose, but the upper one to the throttle body is a common failure point, and you might already have the orange hose at the turbo, which I'm sure is silicone from the factory. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4.
