As much as I like the Omega Seamaster and Omega is my favourite brand, I simply cannot afford the cost, justify the monthly payments or ask Santa for help.

Like these watches it was a nice piece of precision engineering and pure indulgence. However, that was before digital cameras came out, now a Leica is no more than a badge on an overpriced far eastern camera body. | ||

I recently took my tag for service and they wanted over £350 for a watch with a 2nd hand value of about £500. The Ebel was similar money but the watch is worth considerably more than the tag. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Posts: 1787 | If I wanted to buy a watch today and pop it in the safe for a few years to get a small profit, I'd be looking at a pre-owned Tudor , probably one of the models that look like their sister company Rolex's Sub Mariners. They are not even silly money new compared to the likes of U-Boat , Bell and Howell and Tag, but have a design and build quality that is traditional and timeless . £2,000 put into such a watch would not be too risky.
