Just slide a plastic cable tie inside the hole(s) with damaged threads and then use the old screws.

Great idea! I actually bought a replacement scrap yard box that came with a Denso MAF (i6 original) and both work flawlessly. I now have a spare MAF sensor. In my specific case, the MAF screw threads were worn out likely by the previous owner. You solution is filed for any future need. |

I used some larger self tappers. Common sense isn't very common.
