United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black
HAYNES Auto Fix

Hi everyone

Haynes has released a new product to go alongside its manuals and online version called Haynes Autofix.

"This all-new repair product is different to the manuals Haynes is known for – with so many vehicles on sale, it is impossible to strip down and rebuild enough cars to cover the market properly. Instead, Haynes AutoFix is based upon workshop data with added DIY tutorials full of general tips and techniques.

So Haynes AutoFix is not a Haynes Manual. The instructions are no longer step-by-step and are best-suited to confident home mechanics. But that's why we think AutoFix is the perfect partner for your Haynes Manuals – they are different tools for different jobs.

Haynes AutoFix features an interactive fault finder to diagnose more than 400 problems, high-resolution diagrams, videos, comfort wiring diagrams, and – coming soon – a world-leading electronic diagnostics application, available for the first time to DIYers".

Whats the forums thoughts? Has anyone downloaded it yet and is it worth having?

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey

Sounds like good news
Haynes manuals used to be the Bible for DIY servicing and repairs but the latest one for the Freelander 2 is a pale imitation, padded out with generic information. It doesn't manage to differentiate between the various facelifts . Can't tell me the bulbs required for my MY13.
I suppose the number of variations on modern vehicles makes the task time consuming and given the general decline in DIY activity , more detail would be uneconomic.I

Let's home Auto fix is a big improvement. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

Yep, the Haynes manual is now a shadow of it's former self.

We're lucky that we have access to the freebie JLR workshop manual, even if it doesnt cover the later models.
And, of course, this forum. Thumbs Up Jules
