lower ride height, you can not see the "Landrover" parking sign very well through the window now

and the Velar seems even lower, was it "Wash Day of the Month" as they all look Nice and Clean

my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

I lent my garage to our neighbour. This is how you get out of a tight space! Now... wash, wax & polish?

Can I just check whether FL2s can fit in automatic carwashes - saw a 'no land rover' sign but assuming that is for the big boys 🤔

Welcome to the forum.
Height is 1740 without roof rails, 1820 with them fitted. I'd say most car washes will accommodate a Freelander 2 but do you really take so little care of your car that you'd want to ruin its paintwork with everyone else's muck and dirt on the washing rollers? 😯 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

FL2 will fit into most automatic car washes - never got stuck in any.
Probably not happy with owners of lifted Defenders who have been on a pay and play day using the car wash as a first attempt at cleaning Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Unfortunately if I wash the car, it's gone within a couple of months.
Seriously. If I get the lads at the local car wash to wash and valet it every fortnight and wax it every month, then it looks like new (to me) and I am a happy bunny. If I get up close with a bucket and sponge I get to see every swirl, chip, and blemish - and it's gone.
You have to remember that I normally see the car with distance glasses on, so close up everything is blurred, washing the car needs reading glasses - fatal.

I didn't mind washing the wife's car, and to be honest as long as the inside was spotless she was happy - she usually kept them 8-10 years.

The swirl thing doesn't really apply to Tangiers Orange cars, black on the other hand -
I did get ours resprayed after an accident, less than a week later I was playing off-road and slipped backward down a particularly steep bank, Gills side went into a hawthorn bush - full length and then some, didn't do the new paintwork any favors, but it was on the passenger side so I rarely noticed. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Have always washed my own cars but decided I’d treat the old girl to a valeted wash, polish etc a few weeks ago whilst we were at local shopping centre. However read their reviews before I left home and decided not to bother; usual stuff, interior rubbish not thrown out, dirty chamois dropped on the floor during the washing, trim pulled loose and so on. Not a good review to be seen.
When we got there, they were going over a brand new Bentley Bentayga. At £150k I reckon that got the fine tooth comb treatment

Ive just tested positive for covid so will be isolating for the next week or so. If I get no worse, head cold type symptoms at the minute, mine is due a session with the da polisher. 👍 Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
