United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Santorini Black

STOP PRESS

Genuine lock and both cables arrived today and fitted, the old inner door handle cable had detached from the lock upon.
inspection.

I changed both cables and the lock with genuine parts…..

*$€kin alarm went off again tonight! Argghhhhh

So if the scan showed passage we door error I guess I’m replacing the front passenger door lock next or the rear passenger door lock next?!
Both locks operate without issue visually, sorry to report the bad news all.

I guess if you mostly drive your car solo, might be best to program it to unlock the driver's door only on the first press of the fob button... saves wear and tear on three of the four latches. I usually go with some combo of wife, kid, dog so I have it set to unlock all with one push.

Good tip!

Both passenger locks changed now, turned out to be the front passenger lock being intermittent

All four locks are on eBay now indicating the front one has an internittent issue
