Is it possible to have the DRL's go on with the side lights? I was always led to believe that once the sidelights are on the DRL's turn off the broucher shows them both on

The seven LEDs go off when side lamps are one, the rest of the light stays illuminated.

In the broucher pictures they are both on  MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

The cars in the brochure are running with the DRLs on. To me the sidelights should be the DRLs and the DRLs should be the sidelights as they are more visible. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

They look so much better on sidelights.
Have to agree lr have got it the wrong way round.
Love the blue freelander gotta be the best looking colour.

LR Nut, my understanding is:

Lights off = DRL + sig strip
Sidelights on = sig strip (acts as the sidelight) plus rear lights, etc
Mainlights on = dip/main beam plus sig strip/rear lights
Autolights = lights off mode or mainlights mode depending on light conditions.

So it is possible to have sig or sig plus DRL depending on what setting you put the lights on.

If your question is can you have the sidelights on (ie front and rear illumination) plus the DRL, I don't think so given the current configuration.

As said above.

Normal driving you get the front signature and 7 LED DRL's
Side lights is just signature strip and rear lights
Dipped beam is headlights and signature strip. The 7 LEDs turn off.

The Brochure indeed shows both on. But that's showing normal day time running, not side lights on their own.

If you want just the sidelights on it will be the signature outline.

Switch all the lights off and the signature strip and 7 LEDs will come on at all times

You can't have the 7 LEDs light up when you switch on the sidelights unless the dealer can change the software.

Those that don't have signature lights I assume the 7 LEDs are the sidelights. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Remember that sidelights are effectively parking lights so DRLs would need to be much brighter to be effective in daylight.
