BATTERY

I am thinking my battery is on the way out, its 5 years old now and doesn't seem to hold the charge as well.

Anyone tried this one or is it just too cheap ? Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Or is it the totally wrong size ?

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Rimini Red

Use Tayna but choose something a bit more expensive. There's nothing worse the buying cheap, as it normally means buying twice. Wink 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

Powerline is Tayna's own make, it could be any major manufacturers product badged as Powerline or a generic manufacturers product or manufactured by themselves, it has a 4 year warranty and could last.
Batteries are pot luck, most last longer than the warranty, the price is dependent on the warranty, longer the warranty the more expensive the battery, Tayna will have checked the average failure rate of their batteries and priced accordingly to produce the profit they require, basically would you buy it at £30 with one year warranty or SOG act the £20 is the insurance on failure, but no better quality. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

EuroCar will have discounts and offers to bring the price down to similar to others. With the tiny profit margins nowadays it doesn’t take many people not applying for those discounts to make the company even more money.

clearly I am NOT a battery expert, can anyone confirm that the Bosch S5 Car Battery 110 is a compatible battery, it comes up on some sites as not and does not appear when I input my reg, but looks the part to me Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

I fitted a Varta F18 from Batterymega store. Great service. Very happy with the battery.
When I put my reg in it only comes up with Yuasa.
I guess cynics would say this is rigged to promote the batteries that have the higher profit margin. Whistle

Plenty of people on here fit Varta, I got an F17 Varta for £80 from my local motor factors earlier this year. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I fitted Varta F18 from Battery Megastore last year. ( just over £90 delivered). Fits easily and has been fine.( Mine is not Stop// Start)
Slight upgrade on power from original which is no bad thing in lockdown times.
Rumour has it that Varta and Bosch are made in same factory? FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey
