Not had mine replaced yet 2013 model with 66,000 on the clock indi says change at ten years ?

That`s reduced to 7 years on the later SD4 models as the increased power outputs put more strain on the belt.

If it snaps in year 8 or 9 - unlikely I know, but will your indi cover the cost of repairs given that you are following his outdated advice?

It is accepted that the prescribed LR cam belt interval is seven years on all models. Service Schedule copied from Topix just now... Note the service type shown and then check the 11th service item.




Mine, also a 2013 with 43,000 miles is booked in for cam belt/water pump and MoT in mid November on the basis of it may last longer but it may not and it is something I will almost certainly have to do just the once during my ownership of the car.
