United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Barolo Black
0ne side light stays on.

Evening all.
My 2007 se manual had a problem with cutting out last week which im convinced was water in a multi plug, then yesterday it had an HDC problem which went when i done a reset and charged the battery. It seems to run nice again now.

BUT i have now got the front o/s side light staying on when i lock the car, a few minutes later it goes out, never done it before and its only the one light doing it.
Its had led bulbs in for at least 2 years so i figure its not that.
I done the earth lead upgrade when i got the car but yesterday i run another lead from the gear box back to the inner wing after the HDC problem, cant see that causing a problem, never have to many earth points.

Ideas anyone?
Tia.

Hi
I had all sorts of problems like yours with LEDs - went back to standard fit, all problems solved - My LEDs also worked OK for about six months before starting the problem's.
Regards.
Gordon.

Led bulbs are a pain in the butt at the present stage of development .Even in the domestic environment they last nowhere near their supposed life , or start to dim . There is certainly no running cost savings to be made overall at the moment when purchasing cost and short life are taken into account.

It all depends on the quality of the LEDS- as with most things. FL2 SD4 XS 2013 Orkney Grey

What ever the problem was, it seems to have cured its self.
