No issue in folk asking questions . . . it's just that there seem to be a few that come on here with nothing by way of a 'hello, new member here' and their first post is a query about the car.
Sorry if you're offended, just a personal view

Back to the original question (?)...
This is the way the shock absorbers work and sound. Or maybe you have a problem with a silent block bush.

And now a little bit of trivia...
To be honest, by the looks of his first post (and second) I'm not sure if it was a question or not...
Maybe he's proud of the car making those sounds...
Or maybe he's a member of "We don't care about punctuation marks" club.

And sorry, maybe just my English, because I'm still learning, but "aloud to ask questions" ???
Isn't "aloud" synonym with "loudly" ? Maybe "allowed" to ask questions ?

Is it so hard to talk and write correctly? In a way, it's the way you are perceived...
But in the end, put something like "yo, bro, y'all ain't gonna believe this shìt..." in front of the original statement and we'll all feel "in the 'hood"... Laughing Laughing

Not sure if this helps but I had a noisy drop link on my old Zafira that did this and on my old Focus the same noise was caused by antiroll bar bushes... Might mean nothing but it must be a suspension problem and sounds like something is dry, does it go away in the wet? If so then look at suspension bushes, just thinking out loud at silly o'clock in the morning and welcome to the forum, some great folk here to help and advise Thumbs Up 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

You don't mention front or rear or left or right.

You could give us a clue at least.

My first option would be to spray the suspension corners (one at a time) with some silicone lube & see if/when the noise disappears. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

A good start Badger,
I had similar with possibly dryness in the suspension last year,
after a quick spray with silicon all was nice and quiet again,
Never did find exactly where it came from and this year mileage
has been minimal so still quiet. Thumbs Up

I had an irritating squeaking noise over bumps, it seemed worse in hot weather (imagination maybe ?) It turned out to be caused by having half an inch or so of the spring snapped off on passenger side right at the top of the shocker etc. 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

I had a squeaking noise in the car, it turned out that 2 CD covers in the rear door pocket were the cause!

After getting over that embarrassment for many weeks, it was interesting that the sound never really seemed to come from that location. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
