South Africa 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Ipanema Sand

Many thanks for response, yes I was surprised as this is not the first connector fitted, I have them on a Defender & off road trailer with no problems. Your suggestion as to door module is probably correct & will need to be ordered (a rigmarole with remote dealer & lockdown).
I have reconnected the charger several times & left to charge but my instrument cluster is still dead, not a gauge or light works, the fuses seem ok (more than one in different boxes, shades of the Rover Van Den Plas). So it looks as though I have shorted something when I removed the pinch bolt nuts to fit the connector terminals, this would perhaps account for the door module & instrument cluster failure I think. The car is drivable, but with no gauges I cannot tell if anything else is wrong. So, off to dealer I think, not such a problem in normal times but if we get put back to phase 5 whilst my car is in another town it could be standing for weeks or more! Kind regards & stay safe. "Other" car: Defender TD5 CSW 90.
Ex LR's owned: Series 2a SW short, Series 3 SW petrol 6 cylinder long, Series 3 pickup petrol long, Series 3 pickup diesel, long.

I've had the entire fuse box out of the car & the only thing that needed fixing once back in was the clock. Pull the fuses & rule them out as an issue.

Hi.
I too have 20/20 hindsight, what I really need is help with the problem as per my post, many thanks.

Nothing to do with my vision Terence just adding to the OP Whistle

sadly can not add much to Your problem other than echo as already said about the fuses,
removing checking and replacing should not cause any more issues and you rule something out,
also many good threads about replacing the door actuators if that still does not work including pics on how to strip the actuator, clean the individual motor and refit it

Thumbs Up .
my first ever FL2 and I did keep it longer than most other cars!
But its now gone way up Norf

Lightwater, Thanks for reply, have now pulled all fuses, no blown ones so will go the dealer route, as no indi techs have the computer tester here & we are not allowed to cross provincial borders without permission & being 77 I fall into the age group still supposed to stay at home! Smile Anyway, thanks to all who replied, stay safe. "Other" car: Defender TD5 CSW 90.
