DPF and Oil for 59my Fl2

Hi all as we are fairly new FL2 owners a couple of questions, what is the best oil and filter for our 59 my HSE 2.2 diesel and how do I know if it has a DPF fitted, also what anti-freeze is the correct make for this vehicle.
Cheers

Any that meets the specs shown in your Owners manual will do.

I believe regular changing of the oil & filter is better than leaving an expensive oil (with unproven advantages) to run up to JLRs lengthy limits. I change mine annually or 6K miles which ever comes first.

I personally use Smith & Allan for lubricants and shop around on-line for genuine service kits. Jules

HJ says all diesels built after Sept 2009 will have DPF.

Im sure there is a website somewhere you can stick your VIN in and found out but I cant remember where.

Anyone know ? Jules

To check if you have a DPF, get under the vehicle and see ......

this video shows the DPF and pipe work location.

I thought you could tell by the “organ pipes”? Mine is 59 plate, first registered Oct 09 but officially MY2010. With organ pipes, no DPF. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

As above

Organ Pipes (on top of engine) are the best indicator of a pre-MY2011 engine.
