Covid isn't going away any time soon, just wait until they open us up to foreign travel, it's not necessarily those going away for 2 weeks in the sun as the hotels should have covid measures in place, in my opinion it's those going to visit relatives abroad that are going to pose the greatest risk. Your hardly going to meet your mum outside and elbow touch after not being able to see her for a year.

Agreed. Guy I used to work with was intending to fly home to Colombia to visit family and when made aware it was a red flagged area, he said he wasn't bothered as he was picking up several flights to get back, arriving in the UK from a green area, thus avoiding any quarantining Shocked He couldn't see any problem in arriving back then coming in to work 48 hours later.

Yes there is a large Asian population but no information about the racial bias of positive test is available.
The most annoying thing is that it is young adults under 30 that are testing positive, to them they are invulnerable, blow everybody else.

Large Asian and black population in our borough and sad to say it's largely people of these ethnicities that you see without any form of face covering. Say anything and you're accused to being a racist Sad

Just got a text and email from the NHS that they are offering the chance to re-book the 2nd jab so you can get an earlier date. Mine is currently booked for June 8th, so not far away, but I thought I might as well get an earlier one and get it out of the way. Logged in with my NHS number. You are they then asked for your 2nd jab reference number. I thought "why don't you know that..", anyway dug that out and put it in.

You then get taken to a page that doesn't show you any available dates, you first have to cancel your current booking and then make a new one. Absolutely no way I am chancing that, I know exactly what's going to happen there.

I'm in Kent Smile Perhaps I wasn't clear, i updated my post. I have had an appointment for the 2nd jab booked for months, this is to re-book and to get an earlier appointment, but it means first cancelling your current appointment.

Shigsy - is this with large vaccination hub. If so, why not just ring your GP and see if they can get it done sooner for you. My GPs are well ahead of the curve and have people on standby each vaccination day in case of "no shows" as they dont want to waste any jabs. Jules

Shigsy, My experience was that my second was booked for mid June. I cancelled that on Tuesday and immediately managed to book one for Wednesday (the day after) with many earlier slots and locations being available than the original booking.

Hmmm. Despite the age group I am not particulary at risk, I'm working completely from home and not mingling with society so I am quite happy to wait the remaining 11 days. It would be nice to get it out of the way though, I'll ponder it, if I go ahead and it all goes wrong I'll be blaming Telco Wink
