As a "curry munching Brexitanian" I think I'll just stick with my very reliable (so far) Freelander 2 and when the time comes probably buy something not from JLR.

Sounder advice would simply be to avoid transverse engined, Ingenium equipped, diesel cars if you’re planning on driving a lot of stop start journeys in town if you want to preserve the laughably long service intervals!

Although I feel that it's a bit unfair to blame LR as a company for their franchised dealership(s) appalling attitude towards it customers generally....they are the weak link in the chain. Once you find a decent dealer, stay with them.....they are few and very far between it would seem. One only has to refer to the recent thread on here about a 14 plate XS and the derisory £4K trade-in allowance offered by one of the aforementioned for confirmation....

PS: I can’t find the thread on the £4,000 trade in. Could you provide me with a link please? I did find one with a Suzuki dealer declining to offer any trade in at all for a FL2 again a new RAV4. Lucky man

I’d agree, LR haven’t made it easy for us to buy again. I’ve switched models as the good stuff has gradually been phased out and I’m now going to run the Fatty into the ground, as there’s no where else to go now

However, I’d hate for anyone to base a buying decision based on the “evidence” provided by the idiot in this video!🙄
