Where is the heater blower resistor?

This is driving me crazy. I am looking at the service manual and it starts out showing pics of the removal of a panel on the left hand driver's side. But two images later the picture shows access of the resistor under the GLOVE COMPARTMENT. WTF? Where is it on a left hand driver side (US)? On the driver's side or the passenger side? I coudn't find it when I looked on the driver's side! 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas

That post has someone saying there is no resistor. That is incorrect. Here are the pics from the manual. I think the pics are of a right hand drive car so I suspect the resistor is on the other side, under the glove compartment. Why in the world the manual would not make that distinction is beyond me.

I still can't find the damn resistor and its connector. I opened the left and right side pedestal panels and there's nothing like what's on the drawing. A clue, Sherlock? 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas

Just a guess - that long rectangular item in the drawing looks like the cover for the pollen filter. If it is, the resistor is below the pollen filter I believe.

Now THIS is useful. Much more useful than the braindead repair manual.
