I did a search for 2008 heater blower resistor here and just got one hit:

That post has someone saying there is no resistor. That is incorrect. Here are the pics from the manual. I think the pics are of a right hand drive car so I suspect the resistor is on the other side, under the glove compartment. Why in the world the manual would not make that distinction is beyond me.

I still can't find the damn resistor and its connector. I opened the left and right side pedestal panels and there's nothing like what's on the drawing. A clue, Sherlock? 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas |

Just a guess - that long rectangular item in the drawing looks like the cover for the pollen filter. If it is, the resistor is below the pollen filter I believe.
