Water pump and cambelt replacement was ITRO £370 all up for my SD4 in November. Local Indy (Portsmouth) with LR trained people, they don’t just work on Land Rover mind but have a good online reputation.

Even gave me a courtesy car as they wanted it overnight to be sure in case any other little things cropped up during the process delaying completion.

Shop around.

May I ask the name of the indy near Portsmouth please?
Always good to have a list of local expertise to hand.

Googled that - They look a great tool for that sort of job.
Unfortunately I doubt many DIYers will own one or even have access to one.

Agreed but that can be said of a few necessary tools. .................I was fortunate I bought mine off ebay for I think it was £40 a Norbar 15 to 1. Only used it three times on various cars so has paid for itself. With this tool I can slacken the bolt with a 1/2"socket ratchet using one hand. I see on e bay there are relatively cheap ones to be had.

Hi Rob.

I used a company called Smile Servicing & Repairs just off the A27 at Hilsea. Not a glitzy establishment, but well reviewed online and local to me.

As mentioned, they do all sorts of cars but do have LR trained staff as mentioned in the link below. Happy with the cambelt and water pump kit they did for me... and the price of course. They will be getting it back when a service and MOT is required.
