A Christmas Carol (BBC)

Has anyone been watching? Just finished episode 2 tonight and it's great viewing. Quite a dark and at times gruesome take on the story but Guy Pearce is superb in the lead role. Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I know I have dodgy hearing but the soundtrack, like so many tv dramas, is very poor. A consequence of flat screen tv's I'm afraid. I guess a sound bar is the answer.
Conversely I came out of our local Vue cinema with my ears bleeding the soundtrack was sòooo loud. Smile MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I watched episode 1 & 2 on iPlayer then watch live broadcast at 9:00 last night.

Conclusion Bob won the lottery at £500 !!!!

Scrooge offered and did the maths over the £30 equating what would be many many years work for Bob.

Later Scrooge gave Bob £500 ...........did no one know how much £30 and £500 was actually worth in the late 1800's !

.

Today's equivalent, assuming it's based on the year 1880 , £500 would equal £60,544.86 . £30 being £3632.69 or there abouts.

Thats's right Ian.

£500 would have bought Bob a Freelander 1 and still have £200 to fix the head gasket !!!
