I6 3.2 coolant cap

I need to top up my coolant but no way will the cap come off. It starts to unscrew easily then gets harder and harder to turn to the point where I am afraid I will break something if I put a strap wrench or something like that. I've tried pushing down and turning it, same thing. The cap tightens up okay, just won't come off.

That is normal on a lot of those screw on coolant caps these days. Just keep going, nothing will break. Put a little lube on it when you refit. Thumbs Up Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Make sure the coolant has cooled sufficiently before unscrewing the cap.
