Have a look at TAYNA batteries they are great to use and just stick your car details in and they show what you need / should have. thumbsup:

Update just fitted a Banner 110 battery, fitted no problems, gave it a protective jacket, as we live in the wilds, any little helps. Will see how this goes each day, i will test the voltage every morning. the battery that came off was a Tanya Enduroline+ 096-12v- 78ah-740A.
the battery i now have is a Banner Starting Bull 110-12v-80ah-660a

A lot a air gets around the back side of the battery. In our case this is usually welcome as it keeps the battery cooler.

The new battery I put in the car is 85AH & 800CCA:

A solar panel on the dashboard when parked outdoors is a great thing. Use it everyday and love it. No quick battery drain issue though. I bought the solar charger since at least half of the year I ride motorcycle. One day, after prolonged period of not using the car, the battery was dead. So, I put it on the solar charger through the rear socket and it works great.

Make sure it has a diode on it so it doesn't drain the battery at night. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi Sid the alternator is charging properly, that was the first test, no amp drain test yet, since the new battery was fitted she has not failed to start, what threw me was the vehicle came with a new battery and receipt, but after removing and getting in the bigger battery it seems ok (oh and the earth lead mod) time will tell, so fingers crossed

Update on this FL2 battery drain, fingers crossed all seems to be going ok, BUT this morning we had to pop out, No problems with starting etc, we got to where we needed to be. started vehicle up and proceeded to come home listening to DAB and heart radio lol. then all of a sudden the sat nav screen started flashing landrover logo, radio was going on and off in conjunction to the sat nav screen... bloody ell i though what now. so pulled in and i switched all of and on, same problem, so i turned off removed key. double locked vehicle and then unlocked, all seemed to be working, BUT not only that the bloody bluetooth is working??? how the hell did that happen, paired up our phones and all working as per book,,, this vehicle has ghosties somewhere lol
