Im not sure DVLA will disclose this information any longer with new GDPR data protection rules.

She was kind enough to reverse into my rear bumper and splitting it then drove off without stopping not much damage but a new bumper.

Or you could try informing your insurance company of the “hit and run” incident and the details you have, you never know.... Regards

I used that site that I mentioned in my PM to get the insurance details of the other driver when my wife had a similar incident in a Sainsburys car park. The other persons insurance authorised all the repairs to my wife`s car without any fuss. The insurance attempted to contact the other driver who did not respond back to them. I did not have to contact the other driver myself but left everything up to the other insurance company. Thumbs Up

Go to police and report it as causing an accident and leaving scene without giving details. I did this when motorhome damaged my caravan on narrow bridge, but didnt stop. They traced owner and passed details to insurance. I did have dashcam footage though. Andy

Agree with Andy . I did the same when a delivery van took down a length of drystone wall. The police got me all the details , which involved , a lease company , a driver temp company , and a driver from the EU , all worked out in the end . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Definitely a hit and run. Well worth reporting to the local Police who will pass the LRO details to your insurance company and I would like to think investigate the collision. How did you get the offenders VRM? Great if you have a witness or there is CCTV.

If the vehicle was insured, for a small fee you can go direct to their insurance company here: https://www.askmid.com/askmidenquiry.aspx Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Yes full accident caught on CCTV I have been told, but I was not allowed to see it.

I got the redg number from a witness who handed me a piece of paper with redg number on as I was inside a shop but they would not be a witness and did not wish to get involved.

I have got my insurance company involved now so they should track the owner down but if they drove off from a busy car park I am worried if they will admit to the accident and damage she had caused

That's why you should go to police as they can access the CCTV footage and confront the perpetrator on your behalf.

Remember, they have committed a criminal offence by leaving the scene of an accident without exchanging details. Andy

Like Andy says. Failing to stop, failing to remain, failing to report. It could have a pedestrian she hit and drove on. Could be a drink/drug driver. Needs to reported. Insurance companies can be really sh#tty about claims by penalising you next renewal time but they can’t argue with a Police prosecution. Drivers like that need to be reported. Good luck with it.
