todays trip got my normal mpg whilst towing

Didn't bother with 6th gear, as i find it too high ratio for towing, just easy to set 65mpg and hit the cruise control button

How do you manage to set your MPG I only have Cruise Control on mine. Rolling with laughter p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I always found this weird. We fill up the tank and drive to our destination that is 100 Km. away. At arrival, we look how much petrol we used. So we know the consumption in l/100 Km.
You fill up the tank with no more than one gallon and then you see how far you get with it. Once the car runs out of petrol and you know your mpg, what do you do next ?

Regarding the original comment about the FL2 needing a little more pulling power, yes the 2.2 could do with a little bit more but it's not bad. Superchips Bluefin for sure helps out in that area Wink

My caravan fully laden is 1455kg's and I am more than happy with it.

Regarding mpg! I got a shock last summer, in May we went to the New forest which is about 150 miles, and averaged between 24 and 27 mpg towing.

Then in July we went to within 80 miles of the spanish border on holiday and got 18.9mpg average, so I won't having 3 bikes on the top again! I never thought that three biks upright on the top would make such a difference to the economy. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
