Jeez. I know it’s a instructional video and a damaged tailgate but i wouldn’t let that guy within a hundred yards of my car. Plus any dealer or prospective private buyer who sees this video then sees a car with the mod done will just walk away. I know I would. |

Suppose the brain gets programmed to everything being symmetric on cars over the years then when something different pops up alarm bells ring.

I have it on good authority (from a bloke in the pub) that the reason for offsetting the number plate is so that you can more easily tell the difference between the various RangeRover Sport/ Disco/DS models which all look the same to most people. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

At the very least they should've shown the finished article, complete with number plate, badge & lights all refitted.

I wonder how much a new tailgate painted and ready to fit would cost? I don't think I'd have either the courage or the inclination to take a multitool to my £46k - £70k car.

Have to agree with nomad. If you dislike the rear end so much that you want to change it with a chop job, then you have bought the wrong car. And you probably have too much money. |

As above, if a number plate causes so much distress and anguish that you have to butcher it then why buy the car in the first place?
