Dimensions of NAV screen?

Could someone please measure the NAV screen for me? or better yet, the opening of a LR2 w/o Nav?

I am trying to decide if I should get the Land Rover NAV or fit an aftermarket NAV in that space...

Thanks!

I think I've seen on another post on here it is 15cm x 9 cm..probably worth doing a quick search. can't measure it as I haven't got mine yet

that looks nice... although I prefer this look better that another member did:

I actually already own an Alpine TNE-M770 touch screen:
http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-TME-M770-Touc...B000E0ROGO

that goes along with my Alpine NVE-N872A Navigation system. Ideally, I'd like to be able to move this system to the LR2... Its a much better system than the OEM NAV... The question is, will the 6.5" screen fit flush behind the opening? It *looks* to be bigger than the actual opening however...

Just measured my current screen....

interesting its smaller than the above one... I could have sworn the 6.5" Alpine screen was bigger than the opening...

It looks like most 7" LCD screens are about 15cm x 9cm... Needing an Alpine to be compatible with my Nav system, looks like they make a TME-M780:
http://www.alpine-europe.com/index.php?id=tme-m780em

Unfortunately, they only list the dimensions of the whole unit, not just the LCD. Going to head down to the store with a ruler to measure it...
