Faded Sat Nav Screen

I think this has been raised before but with the cold weather every morning that I start my FL2 the satnav screen is really dull, so much so you can hardly make out anything on the screen. It does go back to normal after a while but I recall someone saying that this happens because it is cold, has anyone else had similar problems with the screen in this cold weather? Might ask the stealer to look at it when i get my new drivers seat fitted end of the month Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black

I asked the dealer about the same problem and all they did was turn up the brightness so that it was then unusable at night due to the dazzle - so I set it back to normal and haven`t bothered since. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

Faded Sat Nav Screen

Mine will not even come on in the cold - it takes about 10 minutes to warm up before the touch screen responds - stealer unable or unwilling to remedy. What to do ?

Thats not an unusual problem in general with sat nav systems. I have a friend with an Audi A6 whose sat nav screen doesn't work when the temperature is below 3oC. Living in Aberdeen, thats happens quite a lot. TD4, HSE, Santorini Black, SS side protection tubes, clear side repeaters, chrome wing mirror covers

I have had the faded sat nav screen problem also. I find it better not to have it set on auto brightness. However I would like to know where the sensor is to monitor the brightness in the car.
I have had the sat nav stick on the original land rover screen and not been able to do anything with it. Anyway it's a good job I can still read a map.

Yepp. If the car is cold, you can hardly see the screen. But after a while when the car is warmed up, it should work as normal. I experience this every day. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.
