Grenoval got back to me this morning. Sounds like a decent bloke. Clearly a less 'slick' operation (his loan car will be off the road until the new year as it needs a clutch - so clearly we're not talking shiny new Vogue here) - but that's no biggie, after all, I'm looking to save on the flash side rather than the skill or parts so if there's a bloke in a field willing to do it, I'm listening ,,, (Interested CG?? )

Worth a few phone calls I reckon. The last guy tells me he charges £30ph which is why he can do it for that little.
He quoted whatever the oil is that LR specifiy, a new oil, fuel and pollen filter, plus a full brake service and asked which aircon system it was as the filters differ - so he seems to know what is required.

Any thoughts on the above guys. Anyone to avoid.
I've often been plesantly suprised by the small guys. They're building up their businesses so are more eager to go the extra yard. So whilst there is logic in avoiding the lowest priced supplier in some cases, can anyone make a valid argument why I shouldn't pop it down to green-oval?
