 lol, you would never pay me when you see how much tea I drink. Seriously, it is not a job that everyone feels comfy with and it is only a few hundred quid to get done at an indie. My main concern was I fitted parts that were original specification and not some motor factor equivalent. I can relax for next 100k (peace of mind?)   Joe Fix it until it's broke ! | ||

 That seems like "a walk in the park". I have done DIY timing belt changes which was a lot more complicated than that!! You even did not need to remove the engine mount for access, or need any special tools!! Luxury!! Min was replaced by the previous owner a 3 years back, so no need to have that in my plans at the moment.... | ||

Do all this with the old bolt & dont use the new one until the final fit (as per The LR manual). 1978 Laverda Jota. Stolen...

| Arctic Member Since: 24 Aug 2016 Location: Westmidlands Posts: 628      | Well we managed to get the belt & tensioner pulley etc fitted today but not without a bit of drama, the starter motor negative pole was weak and snapped off flush, so we had to take it to a refurbishing place, it will be back with us tomorrow when we can fit it back on and start the engine hopefully.
