 You beat me to it! Or do this! I did have a roof platform but removed it. 
 
 
 
 The bolts are fastened to a block in the roof rack, not the roof rack extrusion. 
 Platform has been removed to save weight & to carry another 20 litres of fuel. 
 Add a compressor or two!
