Google maps is a great standby if the satnav can’t find the location.

This is what I do, usually mute the FL2 directions and listen to the Google directions, works for me.

Thank you Stuart C I have changed the country several times to GBR but it defaults back to Europe without UK.
So the USB is the same one as I would use to charge the phone etc. I suppose I assumed somewhere in the vehicle sat nav area, there was a USB port with a permanent usb in it. Many thanks, tomorrow I am going to try all the suggested options to a) check what version is already on it, and b) see if I can get it to GBR map that has postcodes, then c) depending on those results decide whether I want to purchase an update or a stand alone Tom Tom with lifetime updates included?

I've found the cheap options usually have older map data than this, for example I've had 2016 data advertis d as 2019. Which was a bit annoying when the road I wanted was opened in 2018!

These are the 2018/19 files which are provided by HERE - based on the Sept 2017 data which I referred to earlier. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black

Taking HERE at its word is a VERY bad idea. Doing so with navi that they skimp on updating is putting your life and that of your loved ones and family at risk. Land Rover should open up the navi system to open source updates by releasing the file formats and update routines. 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas

"putting your life and that of your loved ones and family at risk."

How? it doesn't drive the car just gives information. Common sense isn't very common.

. “And, according to a survey commissioned by Brit tabloid rag The Mirror“

The survey about swerving is from the Mirror. The car crashes study is not. Do try to read carefully and pay attention, mate. 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas

I did “mate” and the article is crap.......it wasn’t bad information that caused the issue it’s almost always drivers interpreting the information wrongly, you can’t engineer for idiots......not completely. Rolling Eyes Regards

No, your interpretation is crap. Idiots don't make for good engineers. Some of the really stupid things I see on my LR2 are perfect proof of that. And there's little else you have to do to put HERE in the same category other than see what they are selling. Pushing 6-yr-old expired nav databases as "New" is about as idiotic as pushing expired food to other countries because you don't care who gets sick and dies from that as long as you get your coins.

Do you have a coherent argument to what I suggested, opening up the Navi to open source updating, or is your life devoted to spreading ignorance? 2008 US LR2 SE, 6-cyl gas
