Finally!
The bit arrived from France and I fitted it this evening.
It was a little 'baggy' in the middle, but fitted snugly around the ends!
A lot of pressure was needed to get most of it to stick, although there is no adhesive around the bottom edge.
It looks so much better though, I think!

Update on the wood trim fitment...

I am having adhesion issues with the glovebox piece.
It keeps lifting off sneakily overnight.

I have attacked the glovebox part with foam cleaner, tar remover, lots of scrubbing and applied several coats of Holts plastic primer/adhesion promoter- not to mention the initial application of the wipe/adhesion promoter provided with the trim pack.

I have also added to the double-sided tape on the underside of the trim part.

I had the same problem, the tape used is very thin and won't compensate for the slight bow in the strip

I used a strip of foam double sided tape and it's held for a few week now.

Oh yes- I've doubled the tape up and added extra!

Currently, I've got it held on with a couple of G-clamps to see if the pressure will help adhesion overnight. "We're in danger, we've got to get out."
