Can the EGR not just be cleaned regular as on the FL1 TD4 instead of bypassing it ? I and other used to clean them out once a year, also the manifold and MAP sensor, myself I used to clean them or exchange the EGR for a clean one every six months same as my oil. |

yes you can clean it to keep it working properly but the idea behind blocking the EGR is to avoid "dirty" air flow to the combustion chamber.

Blanking plate arrived today I must say it is very simple piece of kit, compared to the FL1 EGR blank which is the whole unit, |

I finally got round to fitting the EGR blanking plate to the FL 2 I could not really feel any difference to be honest.

I don't think you can blank off the EGR on post 2011 models unless you have the coding removed for it. EGR and DPF deletes seem to be quite popular on most cars with minimal or zero difference to emissions but both need to be physically removed/blanked and edited out of the ECU in some way |

I've blanked ( with the cheap steel plate) friends/neighbours late FL2/Evoque EGRs without issues. All these cars have DPF |

The other end of that pipe is still at the front of the throttle bodies. So what stops us blanking that end of the pipe? that way the gases still blow through the valve and maybe it won't set off the EML. Or am I completely in the wrong place? MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |
