I wonder how long it will be before electric cars become affordable for the average person? Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I am sure that affordable battery technology will arrive eventually. I am also sure that when it happens, the government will start losing fuel duty and will find a way to tax electricity used for transport. This might mean a smart meter in the car but it's bound to happen as the sums of money involved are too large to ignore. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I think the government will just start to tax electric cars. The tax bands are changing from 2017, the tax bands will be changed again when it suits the government. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.
