I too have this issue - it seems that the problem is most often resolved by a re-charge of the gas.

Ok thanks will get it booked in to be 're-gassed. Sounds cheaper than a pump. |

Dunno if there's a branch near you but Tyre Spot do flush and regas for £50 |

I can never understand why the air-con is never on the service schedule as it is a serviceable part of the car, but is always treated as standalone item. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I have always been advised to use the air con regularly in order to keep the system working correctly.
