Tailgate plinth

I was wondering if any of you guys know if the most recent tailgate plinth is a straight replacement for the older style one on the 2007 tailgate. I have been offered some of these and thought if it was a easy replacement it might be a nice upgrade on the older vehicles.

Some people on here have done the upgrade. I think it just needs extra holes drilling in the boot as there are more fixing points than the older short grey tailgate handles.
