Protecting exposed painted arch

I used some Vinyl 3d Carbon effect I had left to stick over the exposed painted area near the rear door/arch,
as on the XS I had this was stone chipped badly.
as Prevention is better than cure I fitted this the day I got the HSE.
It tucks under the rubber seal and lower plastic sill cover.

I would have thought the title gave it away?
and the description and pictures to back it up Smile
have a look and see if yours is chipped
the XS I had was, requiring paint touch up.
the stick on plastic sheet protects the only bit of exposed painted metal in this area.

Apologies, I wasn't trying to be funny. I have not got any stone chipping in this area, and I don't recall the last one having chipping either. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

My last XS at 37k had a fair bit so rather than risk this on the new one I added the sticky backed plastic
Little prevention I thought Smile

Love it, great idea, will do this when I get some time in the coming few weeks, thanks.

Will combine it with covering the chrome tailgate handle in matt black wrap too I hope, would be nice, but not overly bothered. SD4 HSE Lux

As a precaution I removed all the rubber arch "protectors, cleaned the metal arches, applied waxoyl and then replaced the rubbers. Jules
